Is there a minimum?
MFG does not require a minimum investment amount to become a client. Many investment options do have a minimum initial investment threshold but as an independent advisor we have access to products that can fit any budget, risk tolerance and objective.
-
How long do meetings take?
We plan for 90 minutes for initial consultations and annual review meetings.
-
How does MFG get paid?
MFG maintains a fee-based relationship with most clients.
Why fee based? This way our success is directly linked to yours.
What the fee covers beyond the cost of trading:
- Client Service
- The advice MFG provides.
- The actual creation of your portfolio and plan.
- The ongoing management, monitoring and updating of your portfolio and plan.
- Financial coaching through complex economic environments.
- Also included in the fee we charge is an administrative fee, charged by LPL Financial.
-
Can you do virtual meetings?
Of course.
-
I don’t live in KC. Can I still be a client?
Most definitely. We serve clients scattered across the United States.
MFG is currently licensed in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, KS, MI, MO, OR, TX, WI (additional state registrations can be added as necessary)
-
Who is LPL?
LPL Financial is our broker-dealer.
-
What do I need to know about investing? The market? The economy?
Not a thing. Often people look at financial planning as a thing they need to be ready for…much like getting married or having a child. You don’t have to wait for the perfect time because now is the perfect time to PLAN for your financial success and security. MFG loves to educate and coach.
-
How often will we meet?
For new prospects, you can expect at least 2 meetings for discovery and game plan delivery – with calls and correspondence in between for fact gathering.
Established clients should plan for an Annual Review every year – and meetings as desired in between.
We also love to get calls, texts and emails from our clients to catch up on life happenings.
-
Will you work with my other professional advisors?
Definitely. We have developed and refined our process to help you reach your goals. We have found that the best way to gain a complete picture and help you reach your goals is to keep open lines of communication with your other trusted professionals.
-
What does it mean to be ‘independent’?
Simply put, being independent means we are free to meet your unique needs through full access to the investment product/company marketplace. We are not captive to the self-created and managed offerings of a broker-dealer. Nor are we enticed to sell specific products for the opportunity to win a bonus or free vacation.
Our independence is powered by LPL.
